President Trump has ordered the National Guard to assist the Border Patrol in dealing with illegal aliens crossing the border with Mexico. A comprehensive bill to secure the border and send home illegal aliens already here has been introduced in the House of Representatives, but Speaker Paul Ryan has not allowed it to come up for a vote. Is using the National Guard a sufficient, long-term solution, or is Congressional action needed?
