Sen. Mitch McConnell, as bastion of the Washington GOP establishment, has been a failure as Republican leader in the Senate. Vital items in the Trump agenda, such as the repeal of ObamaCare, have been blocked by "Republican" senators. The budget process has been mismanaged in such a way as to give Democrats the upper hand. Democrats have been allowed to delay the confirmation of conservative judges. Millions of dollars of campaign spending have been diverted in an attempt to defeat conservative Republicans who want to "drain the swamp."
Should McConnell resign immediately as majority leader, allowing Senate Republicans to choose someone who can lead more effectively?
