Passing items on the Trump agenda through Congress has frequently failed because establishment Republicans have joined with Democrats to vote down bills supported by Trump. Now, some establishment Republicans are finding themselves with pro-Trump challengers in the primaries, and many other potential challengers are deciding whether to run. However, some Republicans warn that nominating these challengers instead of establishment candidates will result in Democratic victories and possibly a Democratic Congress that would move ahead with impeachment.
