Democrats have taken effective control of the Senate, thanks to the help of a handful of Republican senators who have voted with them to block ObamaCare repeal, a border wall, and other Trump priorities. Some Republican Senators are even working with Democrats on a bill to expand ObamaCare.
Sen. Jeff Flake of Arizona stands out among these Senators, having made himself the man the media go to when they want a hostile comment about the President from a Republican.
President Trump has been critical of Sen. Flake, but during his recent speech in Phoenix he followed the recommendations of his advisors and would not criticize him by name.
Is it time for Trump to "take the gloves off" and announce that he will actively support primary challengers to Flake and other Senators who help Democrats prevent enactment of his agenda?
