Are GOP Leaders Responsible for Anti-Trump Poll Results?

A recent poll from FOX News claims that 56% of Americans blame President Trump for “tearing America apart.”

Well, now. Many conservatives think that Trump’s candid approach to the media, Democrats, and the GOP establishment are a breath of fresh air, and if GOP leaders weren’t so weak and oriented to the DC establishment, Trump’s polling numbers would be much better.

Are Republican leaders, who give Trump’s critics a media monopoly by refusing to speak out in support of Trump and sometimes even join Democrats in attacking him, responsible for these negative poll results?

Yes, the establishment Republican leaders are responsible for negative polls such as this one. If they were aggressively defending Trump instead of giving Democrats a monopoly in the media, Americans would understand that President Trump is trying to unite Americans behind policies of economic growth, fairness, and national security.

No, President Trump’s own comments are to blame. There is nothing the Republican leaders could do to help him.
