The release of the Nunes Memo is extremely important in our fight to drain the Washington, D.C. swamp. Yes, the contents of the memo are important in themselves, but the greater significance is that we now have a President and Republican members of the House of Representatives who have the courage to stand up to the Deep State and its apologists-specifically, their efforts to cover up the role of the FBI and the Obama Justice Department in politicizing and corrupting the law enforcement agencies of the federal government.
Let me be clear: The Nunes Memo is just the tip of the iceberg. The politicization and corruption of the Department of Justice and its key investigative agency, the FBI, began at the start of the Obama administration. In my messages to FedUp PAC and in my publication, ConservativeHQ.com, I have stressed how the real story of collusion with Vladimir Putin and the Russian government goes back to the role of former President Bill Clinton, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and their Clinton Foundation with the Uranium One scandal of 2010.
I have also called for Attorney General Jeff Sessions to appoint a Special Counsel to investigate this chain of corruption, which shows signs of being the biggest federal government scandal (along with the misuse of Deep State surveillance powers against an administration's political opposition) in American history. The Attorney General has opened an exploration into the need for such a Special Counsel. The President's courage in releasing the Nunes Memo gives me hope that Trump and Sessions will have the courage to make such a Special Counsel investigation a reality.
This is far more important than Watergate. The Nunes Memo reveals the confluence of these two stories-the protection of the Clinton family, the most corrupt political family in American history, and the misuse of surveillance powers. The FBI and Justice were the agents of this corruption, at least as far back as 2010, and this is the real reason for the hysteria we saw before the release of the Nunes Memo.
Back to the Future: The Uranium One scandal
Pravda hailed the deal with this headline: "Russian Nuclear Energy Conquers the World." And Putin has made no secret of his desire to control as much of the world's uranium supply as he can. (We don't have to wonder why.)
Mining industrialists built a company, Uranium One, that extracted uranium in Wyoming. They then sold the company to the Russians. Former President Bill Clinton played a key role in paving the way for this transfer of control over 20% of America's uranium mining assets.
Those industrialists showed their generosity in the form of $145 million given to the Clinton Foundation. Also, shortly after the sale, Bubba famously was paid $500,000 for one speech given to a Moscow investment bank with links to the Kremlin and Russia's energy agency. That must have been some speech! (Does the term "payola" come to anyone's mind?)
Uranium is considered a strategic asset, however, critical to America's national security. A sale of this sort to a foreign entity, especially one that is potentially a nuclear enemy, has to be approved by the State Department and the Department of Justice. And State, under Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and Justice, under Obama Attorney General Eric Holder, dutifully approved the sale. A coincidence? I think not. It doesn't pass the smell test, much less the radioactive test.
From Uranium One to the corruption revealed in the Nunes Memo, the Justice Department and the FBI have worked to hide the sins of the Clintons and the Obama Administration from the American public. Attorney General Sessions can now expose this corruption with the appointment of a Special Counsel. FedUp PAC will continue to put pressure on him to do the right thing.
Nunes Memo is just the tip of the iceberg
