Two years ago, Donald Trump saved the nation from Hillary Clinton and her left-wing plan for America.

Today, Democrats are convinced that Hillary’s agenda – or something even more extreme – will be the winner in the 2018 Congressional elections.

Polls show that Democrats could win control of not only the House, but even the Senate.  At least four GOP Senate seats are being targeted by Democrats (and Democrats lead the polling in three), and that number could grow depending on primary outcomes.  Although Republicans are also going after Democrats in states that voted for Trump, there is not yet a single one where the Republican candidate can be described as a clear favorite to win.

The House looks no better than 50-50 to stay Republican, despite some improvement in recent polling.

What would it mean to have Democrats in full control of Congress for the first time since 2010?

First, it would mean total war against President Trump.  Every committee in Congress would begin ceaseless investigations aimed at making Trump look bad, assisted not only by the media but by Deep State leakers eager to selectively provide information which, taken out of context, makes Trump look bad.

Impeachment and conviction would be the ultimate goal, kicking Trump out of the White House.

But even if that turns out to be beyond their reach, it would be the end of Trump’s ability to carry out his agenda that is already Making America Great Again.

Instead, we would have a Congress pushing the same old left-wing Hillary Clinton agenda – or worse.

There would be no border wall to protect us against the flood of illegal aliens, and no additional funding for deportations.

Gun control, including confiscation of some of the most commonly-owned rifles used for hunting and self-defense, would be high on the agenda.

Attacks on the religious liberty of conservative Christians would resume, along with a new effort for taxpayer-funded abortions.

Reducing criminal sentences, and even turning loose criminals already in prison, is still a popular topic among Democrats.

Handicapping education with a maze of rules for “diversity”, catering to transgenders, giving power to teachers’ unions, and mandating political correctness would once again be the policy of Congress.

Of course, Trump would not be able to appoint any Federal judges – or even cabinet officials – without the approval of Democratic senators.

But the Democrats of 2018 are ready to leave Hillary in the dust as they run further to the Left.

More and more are signing up in favor of compounding the ObamaCare fiasco by going to a “single-payer” system, giving the Federal bureaucrats even more control over your health care.

They are beginning to say that Congress should defund ICE, ending the deportation of illegal aliens.

And the newest litmus test is a promise to provide well-paid Federal jobs for everyone – guaranteed, whether they actually do any work or not, and paid for by taxpayers such as you.

That’s not an agenda that most Americans would vote for, but Democrats running in competitive districts will simply avoid talking about that until the election is over.

That’s the same trick they used to pass ObamaCare.

They will run as “moderates”, perhaps even saying they won’t vote for Nancy Pelosi as speaker.  (Did you notice that Pelosi recently gave them permission to say that in order to get elected?  She knows what an empty promise it is.)

But the real Democratic platform is obvious.  It’s Hillary’s radical platform on steroids, dragging America into a left-wing, Social Democratic, anti-Christian and anti-Constitution nightmare.

You and I must not let that happen.

But the polls show it could.  Even polling conducted for Republicans shows frightening numbers for many candidates.
