Conservatives expect President Trump to win more victories in the New Year, according to a poll by FedUp PAC.

            Nearly 83% say that “Trump will have another year of major accomplishments,” while about 10% expect “a few victories” and less than 7% expect Democrats to completely block Trump’s agenda and take over Congress in the fall elections.

            2017 was a big year for Trump.  It began with Senate confirmation of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court, and ended with a major tax bill that cut rates across the board and simplified tax returns for many Americans.  Trump also took action to increase the deportation of illegal aliens, dramatically reduced the regulatory burden, withdrew from the Paris Climate Agreement and the Trans Pacific Partnership, announced an end to DACA, and destroyed the ISIS Caliphate.  Lower court judges, especially for appeals courts, were also being confirmed at a pace greater than other recent presidents.  Although ObamaCare was not fully repealed, Congress did vote to end the individual mandate and some ObamaCare taxes.  Economic growth was far more rapid than during the Obama years.

            During 2018, President Trump is expected to press for stronger security on the southern border, repeal of ObamaCare, and an infrastructure program.  Democrats are likely to have little success with their agenda of Medicare for all, gun control, tax increases, and amnesty for illegal aliens.
