Ever since the indictment of thirteen Russians for concealing their identity in American Social media activity, the liberal media has gone crazy, declaring that the end of the Trump administration is at hand. They want Americans to believe that the indictments prove, or at least imply, that the Trump campaign was guilty of “collusion” with Russia during the 2016 campaign.
Yet all this anti-Trump hype is the opposite of the truth.
Consider what is undeniable fact in this matter.
1. The goal of the Russians was not to elect Donald Trump.
According to the indictment, the goal was not to elect or defeat any candidate, but to “sow discord in the U.S. political system”. The activity began in 2014, long before Trump was even a candidate, and long before anyone expected him to be the Republican nominee, much less have a chance at winning the election. The Russians promoted liberal causes, such as Black Lives Matter, since that advanced their goal of discord.
The indictment says that they did not begin involvement in the election until May 2016, and then their purpose was to spread “distrust toward the candidates and the political system in general.” As soon as Trump had been elected, they began sponsoring anti-Trump activities, including a rally attended by left-wing activist Michael Moore. Ironically, if anyone has been cooperating with the Russians since the election, it would be the “Resistance”. Their professed goal is also to sow discord and to force Trump from office by any means necessary. It is the liberals who, since election night in 2016, have sought to delegitimize “the political system in general.”
2. The Russian activities did not swing the 2016 election to Trump.
Even a Washington Post commentator, writing from his personal experience in running online political campaigns, declared that it was a “botched and failed attempt.” It spent too little, was poorly targeted, and was not calculated to influence swing voters. Furthermore, much of the activity came after the election was over.
Nate Silver of FiveThirtyEight, another liberal, concedes that Hillary Clinton’s big problem was herself – especially the fact that so many voters knew from the very beginning that she was not to be trusted. Pointing out that voters who distrusted both Clinton and Trump voted strongly for Trump, Silver says that “voters really weren’t willing to give Clinton the benefit of the doubt.”
3. Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee are the ones who deliberately worked with Russians in the hope of having a major effect on the election.
Rep. Devin Nunes and the other Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee deserve great praise for their tireless investigative efforts. Despite being stonewalled by the Federal bureaucracy and ceaselessly attacked by the media, they were able to reveal that the Clinton campaign and the DNC were behind the Fusion GPS “dossier”, which was based on information provided by Russians and certainly intended to “sow discord” and create distrust in “the political system in general.” In a just world, Hillary Clinton would now be wondering how soon she would receive a subpoena from Special Counsel Mueller.
4. There is nothing to indicate any “collusion” between the Trump campaign and the Russians.
Even FBI official Peter Strzok, a leader of the anti-Trump movement within the FBI, admitted privately that there was no evidence against Trump. The various indictments obtained by Mueller indicate that he is now in “Scooter Libby mode”, trying to justify the existence of his investigation by indicting and perhaps convicting people for crimes completely unrelated to the original purpose of the investigation.
Compare Mueller’s failure to the Whitewater investigation two decades ago. That resulted in the conviction of the Governor of Arkansas and the Assistant Attorney General, as well as many less important figures, and the preparation of an indictment against First Lady Hillary Clinton before the prosecutors lost their nerve and decided not to take her on.
These are the facts. President Trump is justified in complaining about the unfairness of the media.
However, we know the media will not change. They will continue to present a one-sided, anti-Trump version of the news. Their goal is to drive him from office, or at least weaken his presidency so that he cannot effectively govern.
They also hope to elect a Democratic Congress that will impeach Trump.
We cannot allow that to happen.
FedUp PAC is already planning how to defeat the Democrats and establishment Republicans, and elect a Congress that will cooperate with President Trump so that he can carry out his campaign promises. Such a Congress would also be an impregnable bulwark against impeachment.
The narrowly-targeted voter contact used by FedUp PAC proved its value in 2016, helping to move swing states into Trump’s column and also electing Republican senators where Democrats were expected to win.
This voter contact by email is relatively cheap, and highly cost-effective, but it is not free.
That is why your donation of $25, $50, $100 or more to FedUp PAC is needed today.
With your help, we can give President Trump the Congress he very much needs. Without it, we’ll be sitting on the sidelines, unable to help.
So please, send your best donation or $25, $50, $100, or whatever you can afford.
