Conservatives Expect Tax Cut to Aid GOP Candidates

Conservatives believe the recently passed tax cut will be a benefit for Republican candidates in 2018 according to a poll by FedUp PAC.

More than 93% say that the across-the-board tax cut will help Republicans in next year’s elections, while less than 4% disagree.  The new law offers tax relief to nearly all taxpayers by doubling the standard deduction and reducing income tax rates.  Many households will see savings of more than $1,000 in 2018.

The tax law, passed at the end of the 2017 session, kept an important campaign promise made by President Trump and Congressional Republicans.  In addition to reducing and simplifying taxes, it kept another promise by repealing ObamaCare’s “individual mandate” tax.

Democrats are predicting that voters will punish Republicans because the tax cut is broad based, providing relief not only to the middle-class but also to the rich and poor.  However, Republicans expect voters to support candidates who promise to preserve the lower taxes and reject those who talk about repeal.

FedUp PAC is a grass roots organization that wants constitutional conservatives to take over the GOP because Americans are fed up with the Republican establishment.  It is not affiliated with any candidate or committee.
