Conservatives Optimistic About Trump Agenda

FedUp PAC StaffConservatives Optimistic About Trump Agenda

Conservatives expect Democrats to reject President Trump’s call for bipartisanship, but most believe Trump will be able to carry out his agenda over Democratic opposition according to a poll by FedUp PAC.

Seventy-five percent predict that “President Trump will overcome them and accomplish his agenda,” while only 24% think the Democrats will succeed in blocking the Trump program.

The first month of the Trump administration seems to justify the optimism shown by the majority. While Senate Democrats have delayed the confirmation of Trump’s cabinet appointees, they have not been able to defeat them (though one withdrew when he encountered some conservative opposition on immigration issues). Judge Neil Gorsuch seems likely to be confirmed as a Supreme Court Justice. Many Obama policies have already been reversed by executive action, while the repeal of ObamaCare and a tax reform bill are taking shape in Congress. Deportations of illegal aliens are speeding up. Even the temporary suspension of most immigrants from seven terrorist-filled nations may move ahead when a new executive order is put forward this week.

None of the respondents expect Democrats to cooperate with Trump.

FedUp PAC is a grass roots organization that wants constitutional conservatives to take over the GOP because Americans are fed up with the Republican establishment. It is not affiliated with any candidate or committee.
